Registration closes 3 hours before the first game of the tournament. To participate in an ESFL tournament, press the “Register” button, displayed against each tournament

2.7. Selecting Fantasy Team

After successfully registering for a tournament, you will be prompted to the participating teams and player’s page. The player selection process for MOBA will be different to FPS and Battle Royal games.

MOBA games have 5 unique positions per each game, which are:

  • Pos 1 – Carry
  • Pos 2 – Mid lane
  • Pos 3 – Hard/Off Lane
  • Pos 4/5 – Supports

Every team must have these 5 dedicated roles. You will not be able to select carry player for position 5 and vise-versa. A pool of players are created for each position; from all participating teams and each tournament that day. The player’s average performance statistics will be available at the point of player selection.

For MOBA games, the following players stats will be displayed:

  • Average Last Hits
  • Average Denies (not applicable for League of Legends)
  • Average Kills
  • Average Deaths
  • Average KDA
  • Average Damage per game
  • Average Heal per game
  • Average Fantasy points per game (AFP)

For FPS/Battleroyale games, the following statistic will be displayed:

  • Average Kills
  • Average Deaths
  • Kill-Death Ratio (KDR)
  • Average Damage per Round (ADR)
  • Headshot Ratio (HSR)
  • Average Fantasy Points per game (AFP)

Once you have selected 4/5 players for the first tournament day, you must confirm your choice by pressing the “Confirm” button.

For FPS and Battle Royal games there are no restrictions on player’s positions. You can select any player in any order at any given time for your fantasy teams.

Whilst the tournament registration window closes 3 hours before the first official game starts, fantasy team selection, for any tournament day closes 2 hours before the first official game of the day starts.

Two hours before the tournament starts, eFantasy team selection will be locked until the first tournament day has finished. After the fantasy points for day one have been calculated and your fantasy score will be updated. You will be able to either select a new fantasy team for day two or keep the same team. In the event you have not made any changes between days one and two, then day one roster will be locked for day two. Any day two team amendments must be completed two hours before the beginning of the first tournament game on day two. This process will be the same throughout the whole tournament.

2.8. Calculating your Fantasy Score

Depending on the eSports discipline chosen, the process of calculating fantasy points may differ. However, the processes for allocating points to each player, updating players statistics and calculating customer’s daily fantasy points, will be the same regardless of the discipline.

Each team can have a maximum of two substitutes and a coach. These are not compulsory, however. Therefore, when a team plays with a substitute player, the player needs to have been chosen at the beginning of the tournament, during the player selection stage.

For your convenience, all disciplines have been combined into 3 categories. These are:

Category Description Disciplines
1 Multiple Online Battle Arena (MOBA) Dota 2, League of Legends
2 First Person Shooter (FPS) CS:GO, Rainbow Six, Overwatch
3 Battle Royal (BR) PUBG, Fortnite

Each category has its own unique set of players, performance indicators and separate fantasy point calculation patterns. At the beginning of each game, each player will have zero points. When the game is finishes, an updated athlete score will be calculated and added to your fantasy score.

If two players have the same amount of points gathered during the last day, the previous days will be used until a clear winner is identified.
